This training focuses on a review of basic required ethics, areas in which counselors are at greatest risk of violation and current trends in the field. Participants will gain practical solutions to commonly faced issues.
Agenda and Learning Objectives:
-Review of areas of Code of Ethics for Licensed Professional Counselors, Social Workers and Chemical Dependency Counselors in Ohio, including professional standards, unlawful and fraudulent conduct and client relationships and impairment.
-Discuss ethical considerations and risks for social media platforms
-Learn the differences between Duty to Protect vs. Duty to Warn
-Discuss aspects Dual Relationship, including multiple relationships, conflicts of interest and confidentiality
